Herbed Turkey Burgers

Makes 7 burgers

•1 1/2 lb lean ground turkey
•1/2 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
•1 large red bell pepper, finely chopped
•1 medium onion, finely chopped
•2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
•2 tsp ground cumin
•1/2 tsp Tabasco
•7 non-fat or low-fat whole wheat hamburger buns

alfalfa sprouts, pickles, ketchup, and mustard

Prepare grill.
Mix together turkey, cilantro, bell pepper, onion, Worcestershire, cumin, Tabasco, and salt and pepper to taste until combined well. Form into 1/2-inch-thick patties and grill on a lightly oiled rack set 5 or 6 inches over glowing coals 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until just cooked through. (Alternatively, burgers can be cooked, in batches, in a well-seasoned ridged grill pan).

Serve burgers on buns.
