VIDEO TEXT - TRICEPS THREE POINT EXTENSION

This exercise is called Triceps Three Point Extension. This is my client Mark and he’s going to be my demonstrator. This exercise works the triceps, core stabilization, and works to stabilize your shoulder girdle.

Mark, I’m going to have you get into a quadrep position which means an all fours position. I’m going to hand Mark a dumbbell and he’s going to put it into the side of his body. Now, I want a neutral spine, head in line with the spine. He’s going to brace through his abdominals and then kick his arm back, extending his arm and squeezing at the top. Go ahead. Full range of motion. Good.

Now, if you want to regress this exercise, all you’re going to do put your toes on the floor and perform the exercise from here. This gives you a little more stability.

Now, to progress this exercise, I’m going to have Mark bring his opposite leg straight out in back and perform the exercise from here. This gives Mark a little less stability which will work his core more.
