CHEST PRESS USING THE TRX SUSPENSION SYSTEM

This exercise is called a Chest Press using the TRX Suspension System.

The TRX Suspension System works your core area and your bodyweight. So, you’ll be using primarily your whole core area - your rectus abdominis, your obliques, your entire back area and even some of your hips.

What we’re going to do today is a chest press. This is just one exercise out of many exercises using the TRX Suspension System.

So, Mark is going to put his hands into the handles, leaning his body into the handles and then press his body away from the handles and back again.

Now, to regress this exercise or to make it easier, I’m going to have Mark come into a split stance position and then perform the chest press.

Now, to progress this exercise or to make it harder; there are 2 steps in this process, I’m going to have Mark step back into a complete plank position - he’s now suspended from his hands and then perform the chest press. Similar to a pushup.

Now, to make this exercise one step harder, Mark is going to get into a plank position (I’m going to help Mark get into this) where he is suspended from his feet. He’s going to get into a pushup position and perform the exercise from here. Now, all Mark has to do to get out of this, is release his feet out of the foot cradles. Very good.
