When Clients Feel Pain
I see it all the time: Clients come to me as a personal fitness trainer with aches and pain. Some clients have pain while exercising; others complain that it’s difficult to function without pain in everyday activities. Clients “want to play golf without back pain” or “want to play tennis without shoulder pain.” They come to me to gain relief.
This is where I come in as a TBMM Corrective Exercise Specialist.
In order to help you as a client with aches and pain that you would love to get rid of, I would need to see if there are any structural imbalances and muscle weaknesses by giving you a complete structural assessment.
After the assessment, we will sit down together and design a corrective exercise program that will include a few self-myofacial release exercises (self massage), stretches and then on to strengthening exercises. This will require you as my client to do “homework” when you are not with me. Don’t worry, I will provide a booklet with your exercises to do in the booklet so you don’t forget them.
From there, when we meet again, we’ll go over the exercises and either regress them or progress the exercise depending on how your pain level is at that point.
We all have every day aches and pains and corrective exercise is one of the easiest ways to get rid of them so that you can get back to your fitness routine, play with your kids or even play golf without your back hurting.
